Hi everybody,
I'm looking to build three guitars before next years GAL convention. Missed this years convention. Anyway I'm going to build 2 acoustics and one electric to show. The electric will be similar, but way different from the PRS Guitar shown below. My question is this: Is anybody selling plans for something similar to this or does anyone know where I might find some. I've contacted PRS and they were not into giving out schematics.
Thanks guys.
PS: My apologies to PRS if posting this picture violates any rules.

A while back there was a dude selling routing templates for these things on ebay and then he up and disappeared. They were very nice. Laser cut and very accurate.

.... I just so happen to have a set if you want to borrow them. I never did get around to building one of these. I got busy with other projects.

Different how ??? Plans for the body shape ??? What is it you need to know ??? If its the shape you want, you can usually get one at any PRS guitar shop .. paper and pencil required.

Schematics are for the PU wiring, you can buy the 5 way rotary from PRS, or make up your own, or use the 5 way blade Megaswitch stew mac sells (one of my students is using that) Stew mac also has a 5 way and 6 way rotary, but they arent exactly drop in like the PRS one, you will have to figure out the wiring for it.

Actually here is the wiring diagram for a PRS, although they may have more than one. This as you can see is for the kit Stewmac sells. I'm putting this in my sons guitar. I would however, suggest that you make your own guitar design. It can be similar to the one you've shown but still reflect your own personality and not be a copy.

Hi Doug,
I bought a set of plans for the McCarty from guitarplansunlimited.com. There is not much detail about the arching but almost everything else is there.
Also the MIMF library has a downloadable plan view (template) of the same guitar.

Also check guitarbuild.com, they have an almost complete plan (plan view)
Hope this helps

Thanks guys for all of your responses, and excuse me if I didn't make myself clear. I wanted the drawings for the whole guitar. I think Brock has what I need.
Thanks again guys, you're the Best!
Doug
